Tonight we had baked ziti! This makes a lot, so you could either put it into two separate dishes and freeze one for later, or just make one dish and keep the leftovers. I just make one dish. Here's the recipe:
Baked Ziti
1/2 batch Lauren's Italian Meat Sauce (recipe on right hand side of page)
1 pkg. ziti pasta
8 oz shredded mozzarella
1 container ricotta
1 egg
Salt
Parsley
Grated parmesean
Cook ziti according to package. Meanwhile, heat meat sauce.
Mix ricotta, egg, 1 Tbsp salt and 1 Tbsp parsley in small bowl.
In a 9X13 baking dish, layer as follows: 1/2 of the ziti, ricotta mixture, 1/2 sauce, remaining 1/2 of the ziti, mozzarella, and then remaining sauce. Top with grated parmesean.
Cover with foil, and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
Enjoy! :)
